Advanced ECU Coding

XTOOL D8 newest automotive diagnostic scanner performs ECU coding and online coding, allowing you to access the ECU of a vehicle to customize car settings, reprogram the adaptive data for certain components after replacement to enhance vehicle performance, and also unfold hidden features or disable annoying functions.

Active Test (Bi-Directional Control)

XTOOL D8 comes with Bi-Directional Control capability and is capable of performing Active Tests to access vehicle-specific subsystems and component tests. The tester outputs commands to the ECU to drive the actuators in order to determine the integrity of the system or parts by reading the ECU data, or by monitoring the operation of the actuators — such as EVAP test, Cylinder Deactivation, Cycling A/C Clutch On/Off, switching fuel injector on/off, cycling ABS motor pump, testing car window, door, sunroof, wipers and more — to pinpoint fault locations easily and effectively.

Note: ECU Coding and Active Test do NOT support all car models.

Support for CAN FD Protocol

As a newest automotive diagnostic scanner, D8 can work on newer CAN FD protocol vehicles (for GM vehicles after 2020).

31+ Specialized Service & Reset Functions (Regularly Updated)

1. Oil Reset: Close the oil service light and reset service mileage & service interval after replacing the engine oil.
2. Electronic Parking Brake Reset: Reset the new electronic parking brake for braking wheels safely again.
3. Throttle Relearn: Reset throttle actuators to accurately regulate throttle (or idle engine) operations, helping maintain smooth idling and acceleration.
4. Tire Pressure Monitor System Reset: Relearn TPMS sensors so that new sensors can be recognized by ECU.
5. ABS Bleeding: Achieve firm brake pedal feel after air exhaustion.
6. Key Programming / IMMObilizer: Disable a lost vehicle key to prevent theft and add a new key.
